We are thrilled to announce that The Welcome Experience is making headlines on WIN NEWS!
Alexandra Dunwoodie, our local connector along with Olivia West, CEO of Regional Development Southern NSW & ACT (RDASNA), are excited to share the expansion of this vital NSW Government initiative across the Southern Region. Led by RDASNA, this program is a significant stride in supporting essential workers and new residents in our community. Building on its success since July 2023, this expansion marks a new chapter in fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
RDASNA is the proud host agency of ‘The Welcome Experience,’ a service that eases the transition for essential workers in the Southern Region by providing a friendly local resource, known as a Local Connector, who can offer individualised support, comprehensive resources, and local connections.
Having successfully run this service in Goulburn since the pilot program's commencement in July 2023, RDASNA will now extend the service to the Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Wingecarribee, Upper Lachlan, Yass Valley, Hilltops, Goulburn Mulwaree, Queanbeyan-Palerang, and Snowy-Monaro.
WIN NEWS - interview with Rajalakshmi Viswanathan Gavali joined by Local Connector for the Goulburn Welcome Experience Ally Dunwoodie, who works for the local host organisation. Goulburn’s pilot was a major success and Ally assisted more than 68 workers to relocate to the region, including approximately 53 health workers.
