THE ROLE:
The Regional Development Manager is a key leadership role engaging with stakeholders to target gaps and deliver solutions to drive the economic and social development of the Southern NSW. The role is full time, hybrid remote, with regular in person team and stakeholder meetings and events.
You will be the key connector in the areas of Upper Lachlan, Hilltops, Wingecarribee, Goulburn-Mulwaree and Yass Valley.

Regional Development Australia - Southern NSW and ACT is part of a national network of 50 committees across Australia focused on driving economic growth, innovation and entrepreneurship. A federally funded, non-government organisation with a Board creating strategic directives, the organisation has the agility to respond to the needs of local communities while delivering on commonwealth government outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research, investigate and report on regional community & economic development issues.
Identify gaps/opportunities in service/program delivery to drive social and economic development outcomes in alignment with the RDA Charter, and RDASNA's strategic directives and business plan.
Provide key regional intelligence to the CEO on economic and social challenges and opportunities.
Build, manage and maintain key stakeholder relationships across the region.
Liaise and communicate effectively with a range of external stakeholders including Government agencies, industry, business, Non-Government Organisations (NGOs), community groups and others regarding opportunities and challenges in our region.
Contribute to committees aligned with RDASNA outcomes.
Develop, manage, facilitate and report on events and projects to align with RDASNA strategic directives.
Create and acquire sponsorship and funding opportunities with external stakeholders to support the delivery of the RDASNA's events and projects.
Manage budgets and funding acquittals for events and projects.
Manage and delegate to event and project support staff, where required.
Contribute towards the creation and implementation of RDASNA’s Communication and Engagement Strategies including but not limited to social media, newsletters, traditional media, event coordination, presentations, workshops and committee representations.
Create and contribute to reporting requirements of the RDASNA Board, Commonwealth Government , and other funding source reporting requirements.
Promote Government programs, services, grants, and tenders across stakeholders.
Contribute to the reporting, writing, evaluation, and revision of the RDASNA Operations Report, Regional Plan, Business Plan, Communications Plan and Outcomes Report.
Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of the RDASNA resources such as the website, databases, newsletters etc.
Other duties as directed by the Chief Executive Officer.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Understanding of economic and social development with a regional focus.
Understanding of core challenges and opportunities in regional NSW.
High level communication skills, written and verbal.
Ability to deliver outcomes within complex frameworks.
Exceptional stakeholder relationship development and management capabilities.
Extensive experience in event coordination and/or project management.
Capacity to juggle multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
Experience with budgeting and financial management skills.
High level technology skills using Microsoft365, SharePoint and Outlook.
Qualifications in policy, economics, commerce, business, project management, or at least 5 years’ experience in related occupations.
DESIRED SKILLS:
Experience using Mailchimp, CRM and project management software.
Experience delivering programs with public funds.
Experience developing innovative solutions to regional problems.
Established stakeholder relationships in the regions you represent.
Experience with grant writing and/or data analytics.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:
You must live in one of these regions: Upper Lachlan, Wingcarribee, Yass Valley, Goulburn-Mulwaree or Hilltops.
Current driver’s license and good driving history.
Appropriate space to Work from Home with WHS compliant facilities.
Must be prepared to travel for regular team meetings.
Must be able to travel across the region and stay overnight when required.
