The Grow Our Own Industry Tours follow our information sessions showcasing career opportunities available to local high school students in their community.

The industry tours allow students to see our industry partners' workplaces in action after the information session.

Information Session: Held separately on Wednesday 5 June Snowy Monaro - Cooma

During the information sessions, our industry partners cover:

• Career prospects for local students (Years 9 and 10): Potential career paths for local students to consider.

• Job prospects within partner organisations: Overview of job opportunities including apprenticeships, traineeships, and work experience programs.

• Work environment: Information on working within their organisation, including details on upskilling opportunities, work incentives, and team-building activities.

• Present the industry partner videos: The videos highlight their workplace, career opportunities, and the current workforce within their organisation in action.

The aim of the information sessions and industry tours is to encourage local high students to start considering:

• Career opportunities in the local area

• Remaining in the region

• Encouraging local businesses to invest in the employment, training, mentoring, and development of local people

• Promote workforce expansion, development, and sustainability
